Textiles - Solar UV protective properties - Part 2: Classification and marking of apparel

This part of the standard specifies the requirements for marking clothing designed to offer the wearer protection against solar ultraviolet radiation exposure.

UV-protective clothing for which compliance with this standard is claimed must fulfill all requirements of testing, classification, and marking, including a UV protection factor (UPF) of 40+, average UVA transmission of less than 5%, and design requirements as specified in Part 2 of the standard.
